Today the first two stages of the 1/8 finals of the World Cup took place, the winners reached the quarterfinals. The two games were France against Argentina and Uruguay against Portugal, which have always had very tough games without a real favorite.

Argentina entered the game in 5th place in the FIFA rankings, and France took 7th place, indicating a slight advantage for Argentina; however, France had a very convenient group stage, while Argentina struggled with great difficulty, even when facing a side with a much lower rating.

The first half began with a strong game of France from a free kick by Antoine Griezmann, who barely missed from the gate and instead got into the crossbar.
